Product seeding
We send your product to creators whose homes it fits, with a short note and no obligation to post, then follow what happens and turn the best responses into paid work.
What's included
- A seeding list built for the product, checked for audience fit, content quality and disclosure habits.
- The box, the note and the timing, planned so the product lands well before the moment you care about. We work with your fulfillment team or partner to ship it.
- Disclosure guidance in every note, so anyone who posts knows how to mention the gift.
- Tracking of who posted, what they said and what their audience asked in the comments.
- A shortlist of creators worth inviting into paid integrations or an ambassador program.
How it works
-
Choose the homes
We build a list of creators who already make content your product belongs in, then check each one before anything ships.
-
Write the note
A few friendly lines about the product, what makes it worth trying, and how to disclose it if they post. No scripts and no conditions.
-
Ship and follow up once
Product goes out in a planned window. One light follow-up checks it arrived. More than that turns a gift into pressure.
-
Read the response
We log posts, stories, comments and private replies, and tell you who liked it, who didn't, and what both groups said.
When it fits
Seeding works best when the product is good enough to talk about on its own and new enough that people haven't seen it: a new flavor, a new tool, a new size.
It's also an inexpensive way to find out which creators like your product before you pay anyone. If you need a post on a fixed date, that's a creator integration.
Things brands often ask us
Do creators have to post about seeded products?
No. A seeding send carries no obligation, which is part of why the posts that do appear read as real opinions. If you need a guaranteed post, that's a paid integration.
Do creators need to disclose a free product?
Yes. FTC guidance treats a free product as a connection to disclose, so every note we send explains how to do it in plain words. Our note on gifted products covers the detail.
How many products should we send?
Enough to learn something, sized to the moment and the budget. We'd rather send fewer boxes to well-matched homes than many to loose ones, because a box that doesn't fit costs the same as one that does.
